When and how we collect data
From your first interaction with Whatz2Eat (app, website, social media, email), we are collecting data. Sometimes you provide us with data (with your permission), and sometimes data about you is collected automatically.
Types of data we collect
Contact details: Your name and email address.
Account details: Display name, account number, likes, favorites, ratings, ingredients, quantity of ingredients, and your encrypted Whatz2Eat password.
Preferences: Pantry lists, shopping lists, recipe preferences, and order history.
User content details: Images (snaps that you provide to us so that we can help you manage your ingredient list. Facilitating inventory ingredient recognition features).
Data that identifies you: Allergies, diets, disliked ingredients, disliked recipes, dietary restrictions, and groceries that you want to purchase (but only if you allow us to). Your IP address, login information, browser type (Chrome, Safari, others), time zone settings, geolocation information about where you might be, operating system and version (iOS, Windows, Android, macOS, others).
Data on how you use Whatz2Eat: Your URL clickstreams (the path you take through our site), pages viewed, page response times, download errors, how long you stay on our pages, what you do on those pages, and how often.
What about really sensitive data? We don’t collect any “sensitive data” about you (like racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious/philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data about your sexual like or orientation, and offenses or alleged offenses) except when we have to comply with the law.
What about children's data? Whatz2Eat is a software application directed to and intended for use only by those 18 years of age or over. Whatz2Eat does not target children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from any person under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child, we will take the appropriate steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible.

We will delete your personal data from our archives no later than 6 years from the last time you used Whatz2Eat or as agreed with you in a separate contract.
